One of the most important curling tournament in the north begins today in Timmins. The Northern Ontario Scotties is a women’s competition,and the winners will represent Northern Ontario at the national competition, the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. That is happening in Alberta next month.

The competition starts at 6:30 tonight with the opening ceremonies, and the first draw will be at 7:30pm. The tournament runs right through until Saturday.  Spectators can go watch the action the Mac, or can watch live on Eastlink, channel 10.
