Stats Can is hiring for 140 jobs as the long form census returns

The long-form Census is making its return this year and Statistics Canada is hiring for 140 jobs in the region. Central Regional Director with Statistics Canada, Gary Dillon says because of the layout of the region there will be many jobs available. He says they will be looking for people from Timmins, Hearst, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, and Kapuskasing to fill different positions.

The two main areas they are hiring for are crew leaders and enumerators, who will be needed to complete the Census which begins in May. Dillon says the Census will be assessing aboriginal communities in the area as well, such as Constance Lake and Kashechewan.

You can head to the Stats Canada website for more information on how to apply.
