There’s good news for motorists heading westward. The Ministry of Transportation has re-opened one lane of the Nipigon River Bridge. OPP shutdown the new bridge yesterday after it split apart. The Ministry of Transportation is looking into what caused the split.

Meanwhile with one lane open, it means traffic will move across the bridge at alternating times. And because there’s a tremendous backlog of vehicles, OPP say it will take time to clear that up.
