Flights at the Timmins Airport are running as normal, despite this weekend’s heavy snow. Airport Manager Dave Dayment says they did have to close one runway yesterday because of the amount of snow and so they could focus on their primary runway. Dayment says they didn’t lose a flight yesterday and shouldn’t cancel any today because of weather.

However, Dayment does say the parking lot at the airport is full of both snow and parked cars. If possible get a ride to the airport today or call a taxi. Airport Road has been cleared and is safe for drivers to get to the Victor M. Power airport.
