As of January 1st Ontarians can pay less for insurance with winter tires equipped on their vehicles. This is especially useful for those in the Northeast, with rising food and fuel prices it’s a way for Ontarians to be rewarded for improving safety. The objective is to help residents save on insurance with an overall goal set by the Ontario Liberals to cut insurance by roughly 15 per cent.

It’s unclear how much the break will be, and residents can look into further by contacting their insurance companies.
