News Winter weather may be here, but the OFSC warns snowmobiling still isn’t safe SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Friday, Dec. 18th, 2015 The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is warning sledders to stay off of the trails. Although snow is on the ground, the OFSC says it can very dangerous this time of year with poor conditions. Ground, waterways, and swamps aren’t frozen yet, and there isn’t enough of a snow base to protect yourself from or your sled from rough terrain. None of the OFSC trails have been groomed yet, and so they are all closed, including in in Timmins and surrounding areas. You can check out their interactive map online to see which trails are open, click here.
