Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli’s Patch 4 Patch bill has received Royal Assent at Queen’s Park. The program will soon be implemented province wide. It requires people with a Fentanyl prescription to return their used patches to the pharmacy before getting new ones. The goal is to curb the growing abuse of the potentially deadly drug. Since the program has been implemented in North Bay, it’s been over a year without a Fentanyl related death. Some sections of the bill will become law within six months.
