News Timmins supporting a resolution to four lane Highway 11 SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Thursday, Nov. 26th, 2015 Timmins is supporting an initiative to four-lane Highway 11. Temiskaming Shores is asking surrounding communities for support when they send a resolution into the province to four-lane the highway from Cochrane to North Bay. Councillor Mike Doody says he voted to support the idea because road standards should be equal across the province. //www.mytimminsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Four-laning-resolution-mp3-1.mp3 Doody also says it’s important to note that when they are talking about Highway 11, they are talking about the Trans Canada Highway. He says whether it takes 10, 20, or 30 years, the north has just as much right to expect the same standards as the rest of Canada. Council voted and the resolution was carried to support Temiskaming in the four laning initiative.
