TPS cleared of any wrong doing in the death of an 18-year-old

The Timmins Police Service has done nothing wrong in the death of an 18-year-old. The Special Investigations Unit has wrapped up their inquiry into the death of the teen back in May. It happened during a deadly drive near Sandy Falls, when he stabbed his female passenger and himself several times, after crashing with a pick-up truck.

Timmins Police arrived at the scene, and gave the teen first aid, but he died as a result of his injuries. The SIU says the police did what they could to treat his serious injuries before paramedics arrived. The 17-year-old female passenger survived the stabbing and recovered in the hospital.
