Mauvember raising awareness for domestic violence

Women’s shelters in Kapuskasing, Hearst, and Cochrane are raising awareness about domestic violence for the month of November. Habitat Interlude’s Outreach Councillor, Dawn Nuccio, says they are doing that in a few different ways, including challenging men and woman to paint their nails purple.

Nuccio says Habitat Interlude is a resource for women affected by abuse or harassment in anyway, including physical and sexual. There are services for women to help escape abusive relationships, like counselling and legal aid.
