Ontario’s Regional Chief hopes the Liberal majority win ushers in a new era with First Nations. Isadore Day congratulated Justin Trudeau for his win on Monday. Day says the next step is for the new Prime Minister to repair and reconcile the federal government’s relationship with First Nations.

Day says under the Conservatives, there was a decade of lost progress. Day issued several challenges to the party leaders and Trudeau responded by saying he’ll invest in First Nation education and end chronic boil water advisories on reserves within five years.
