OPP in the area are rolling out Operation: Safe Driver focusing on commercial trucks.
Police say they will be conducting extra safety inspections on commercial trucks and vehicles and increasing visibility over the two-day program. The campaign is being launched by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. It aims to raise awareness on aggressive or unsafe driving by both regular commuters and truck drivers themselves.
