The Conservative candidate for Timmins-James Bay says his party is taking steps to help resource development. John Curley says the north was built on natural resources, and partnering with small businesses will help generate jobs by making things easier on them. He says helping to cut the red tape for those businesses will  help to create jobs.
Curley says the Mineral Exploration Tax Credit will also help the industry generate jobs and open new operations. On top of that, he says the Conservatives will also take efforts to help the average tax payer. That means keeping taxes as low as possible. Curley says that allows growth and creates jobs. He says if you can keep the businesses going, they are going to hire people to help out.
Curley is running against the NDP’s Charlie Angus, Green Party candidate Max Kennedy, and Liberal Todd Lever.
