The Timmins Fire Hall is teaming up with the hospital to raise money for breast cancer awareness month. They are kicking off their annual Help Us Help Others pink t-shirt fundraiser. Every Monday and Friday, the firefighters will be wearing their pink shirts while on duty. Last year the fundraiser brought in over $1,600 with almost 90 shirts sold and voluntary donations collected.

Fire Chief Mike Pintar says breast cancer has touched everyone at the fire hall in a different way, and this is way to support patients and families in Timmins. Proceeds from the locally printed shirts will go to the newly constructed Breast Wellness Centre at the Timmins Hospital.

You can buy a pink t-shirt for $20 at the fire hall.
