The majority of summer impaired driving charges were laid because of civilian calls

Of the eight people charged for impaired driving over the summer, five were caught because residents called the cops. The Timmins Police Service is releasing their DUI charges from July and August. The people they charged were both men and women, ranging in age from 18 to 68.

A spokesperson for the TPS says if you see someone driving erratically, or think something is drunk behind the wheel, call 911. She says provide as much information as you can. That can mean the location, the type of car, and any details about the driver. She says residents are important tool in keeping the roads safe.
