The MNR says hunter safety is a priority as the season heats up. The Ministry of Natural Resources says aside from a healthy dose of common sense there are some quick and easy ways to stay safe. Wearing hunter orange, telling someone where you’re hunting and for how long, packing a survival kit, and not drinking when hunting can keep you safe out there. Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry Bill Mauro says safety needs to be a top priority for hunters as they head out this season.
