NDP continue to fight for cadet program

Despite continuing cuts from the cadet program Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus is fighting to keep the national biathlon program alive.

He says in a letter to Minister Nicholson that it creates leadership opportunities for youth.

Angus says it’s an action-packed event that encourages Canadian youth to be the best they can be.

This year’s biathlon is in Nova Scotia.

The NDP have been leading the fight to keep the cadet program running strong. They have already challenged the government on their decision to cut funding for uniforms and to end the popular glider program.
