A hands-on exhibit that’s a fun way for kids to learn about cultural celebrations in Canada is at the Timmins Museum until the end of April.
“Kids Celebrate!” is the name of the exhibit. It’s from the Canadian Museum of History.
Timmins Museum program coordinator Monica Towsley says there are 12 pieces that one way or another, are all Canadian.
“Canada Day would be definitely one,” she says. “We also have Halloween, Thanksgiving, but I mean all of them I guess would be Canadian, being that we’re a multicultural country.”
“Kids Celebrate!” is open during normal museum hours. Towsley says it’ll be open until seven o’clock Wednesday nights.
“So we’re extending our hours for any parents or groups that want to come to see this exhibit while it’s here. So that’s starting February 28th until the end of April.”
There is never an admission fee to get into the museum.
