Two 15-year-olds in Smooth Rock Falls are being charged with arson. The pair burned down two buildings on Tuesday, including the town’s only grocery store. OPP Staff Sergeant Mike Pilon says although the charges have been laid, the investigation is continuing.

He says they are looking for the exact location where the fire started, and what was used to start it. He says they are still canvassing the neighbourhood for feedback. Pilon says witness statements are what helped lead police to the two teens charged. He says this is a very impactful event on the small town.
