Staff at city hall have two perceived traffic issues they’re being asked to report to council on.
One is whether there should be a four-way stop at College St. and Westmount Blvd. in Melrose. Right now, it’s a three-way stop, coming from the north. south and east. Sixty residents of that area have signed a petition asking for the change for motorist and pedestrian safety.
And 154 people have signed a petition asking for a turning lane into Northglen Park on Hwy. 655.
Organizers note there are 70 mobile homes in the park, and each resident has one or more vehicles. They point out other traffic generated by visitors and deliveries.
