Book the time to participate in brainstorming on the Timmins Public Library’s future

A meeting Thursday night is looking for your input into what you’d like to see at either branch of the Timmins Public Library.

It’s at 6:00pm at the main branch.

CEO CaroleAnn Demers says it can deal with programming, locations, parking, lighting, whatever you’d like instituted.

“Because we know that the public has changing needs and of course, we want to respond to those needs,” Demers comments. “But if we don’t know what they are, it’s very difficult to do so.”

Demers is looking forward to what viable ideas will come out of the consultation process.

“We have a consultant who’s going to help us analyze the data,” Demers says, “and it’ll all be put into a strategic plan which we wish to launch in the fall.”

You can hear our full interview below, and find out how much the library has changed from the quiet, dreary place of your youth.
