Charges in downtown robbery

Timmins Police have charged a 22-year-old local woman with robbery and other offences, from an incident at a Third Ave. business.

They say that Tuesday afternoon, she went in to the thrift store, “A Second Time Around”, where she collected several items and hid them from staff. When confronted, she brandished a weapon and took off.

Officers located her later and charged her with robbery; possession of a dangerous weapon and property obtained by crime; and failure to comply with a probation order.
