UPDATE, Saturday, 11:00pm: Country 93.1/My Timmins Now Dot Com has confirmed the body was initially discovered on the ice Saturday afternoon by an ice fisher who got another angler with a cellphone to report it to 9-1-1.
South Porcupine OPP and the coroner’s office are investigating a death on Porcupine Lake.
All police are saying at this point is there is no threat to public safety, and that there will be a noticeably increased police presence in the area.
