The president of Timmins-based mining bucket repair and manufacturing facility The Bucket Shop has been inducted into the MineConnect Hall of Fame.
Ross Woodward was recently given the honour by the provincial mining supply and services association.
The Bucket Shop’s business optimization lead, Jamie Pouw , says it’s a worthy designation for Northern Ontario at large.
“It’s pretty special to acknowledge over 30 years of contribution to the mining sector,” he says. “We benefit from it greatly. Northern Ontario has benefited from over 30 years of Ross’s leadership.”
Provincial mines minister George Pirie says it’s important to have an industry leader like Woodward in Timmins.
“As we transform our economy into a service centre,” says the minister, “it’s the firms like The Bucket Shop that Ross has lead for 30-plus years that in fact are going to be instrumental and will continue to be instrumental as we develop our economy.”
