Starting Monday, you don’t have to go into Timmins Police headquarters for a criminal record check.
As administrative assistant Stacey Boucher (BOO-shay) tells us… those checks are needed when you apply for a job or a volunteer position.
“Normally, they come to the police station to get those done with paper forms,” she explains. “Now they’ll be able to do that online, through out website.” That website address is www.timminspolice.ca .
“Instead of having to come to the police station during our office hours,” Boucher continues, “this allows citizens to complete those record checks 24 hours, seven days a week on their own time.”
You can pay for the service with a credit or debit card. The result of the record check will be emailed to you.
