The Community Gardens get some upgrades

Growing produce just got a little bit easier in Timmins. The Riverview Community Gardens and the Rotary Community Gardens at Northern College are getting a permanent water source, so gardeners won’t have to haul their own water up there anymore.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation donated $15,000 and Kidd donated $5,000. The goal is to help with the long term sustainability of the gardens, and to grow more local fruits and veggies. The Riverview Gardens have been renamed the Kidd Operations Community Gardens.
