You can always count on Santa Claus to attend the Festive RIDE campaign launch every year, and add his plea not to drive while you’re impaired.
He told our intrepid reporter that he mostly wants everyone to have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year:
“And I also want to make sure that the people don’t drink and drive or do drugs and drive,” the Jolly Old Elf added. “ If they want a ride or if they’re having too much to drink, call someone to pick you up and take you home.”
Santa pointed out that the holidays should not be ruined by having your licence suspended, or hurting someone.
“So the main thing is don’t drink and drive, be safe and have a Merry Christmas and enjoy.”
