A flood warning is in effect for the Mattagami River.
The Timmins Flood Advisory Committee says the water level on the river continues to rise with the persistent rainfall we’ve been experiencing.
Homes are not being threatened yet, but the committee says it’s difficult to predict how high the water will get. It adds that “nuisance flooding” might occur the next several hours.
