Sunday is Coin Day at the Timmins Museum.
Timmins Coin Club publicity director Orest Lawryniw says it’s an open house between 1:00pm and 3:30pm, part of which is to recruit new members.
“If people have any coins or stamps they want to bring in to have us check out, they’re more than welcome to bring them in,” he points out.
Lawryniw adds that the target is especially targeting kids to join.
“It’s a very good hobby. It’s an investment, a long term investment. It’s something that’s very interesting. You can learn a lot of history from coins.”
Admission is free and there will be a door prize.
