Good news from City of Timmins CAO Dave Landers: Connecting link work will be done… and we’ll be driving the full length of Algonquin Blvd. this year.
Landers is waiting for an updated schedule from the contractor on the connecting link reconstruction between Mountjoy St. and Thériault Blvd. .
“I can’t tell you what the completion date this year is yet,” he acknowledges.” I have received a few questions though about ‘Is the road going to be reopened this fall, and it will be. It will be paved and reopened to the public. It’s not going to be closed throughout the winter.”
“The utility poles are pulled back from the north side, but will be going back in shortly, as we start the curbs along that side of the street next week.”
Elsewhere, Landers says the water main project on Airport Rd. is almost done; and Denise St. should be paved and fully open in the next couple weeks.
