Dumas to help local students learn about mining

Northern College is getting a large donation from Dumas Mining. They are giving the college six machines for their heavy equipment programs, for both post-secondary and apprenticeship students. The equipment is worth around $65,000, and will give students the chance to learn hands on. The donation is coming to the school on Wednesday.

Dumas representatives Glenn Wilson, Fleet Manager, and Wayne Mohns, Vice President, will be on site at the Timmins Campus to formally complete their donation. They will be joined by Fred Gibbons, President of Northern College, and Dr. Audrey J. Penner, Vice-President, Academic and Student Success.
