Wetlands are in danger, MNR looking for help

The MNR is looking for some feedback on our province’s wetlands. The Ministry of Natural Resources says the wetlands are an essential part of our biodiversity. They help with flood control, reducing erosion, and recreation. They are threatened by habitat loss, pollution, and climate change.

“Ontario remains committed to protecting wetlands and the rich natural biodiversity these areas support,” says Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, Bill Mauro. “Wetlands are threatened by habitat loss, invasive species, climate change, and pollution.”

Go online to the MNR’s website to give your ideas on how to save them, and for more information.
