We could know sometime Wednesday when reconstruction will finally begin on Algonquin Blvd., between Thériault Blvd. and Mountjoy St.
Tuesday night, CAO Dave Landers told city council that there have been delays in permissions to move ahead, particularly about proper signals on bypass routes.
Landers pledged to check with the contractor on Wednesday, for a time shovels will start lifting old pavement to get moving.
“As soon as that happens,” he told council, “we will be sending that information out through all of our media channels as well as taking radio time as well to make sure that people are well informed of the construction, the bypass routes and go from there.”
