Ontario budget speeds up connecting link

City Hall is heralding a provision in Thursday’s Ontario budget of $74-million for the connecting link along Highway 101 through Timmins.

It will go to eliminate the infrastructure deficit.  City engineer Pat Seguin says it will allow the city to dedicate money to other pressing infrastructure projects and complete the connecting link more quickly.  This, he says, will achieve better economies of scale.

The connecting link runs from the tracks in Porcupine, along Hwy. 101 to Kamiskotia Rd.
