Winter weather advisory in effect for region

Just when you thought, even hoped, spring was finally arriving, there’s this: Environment Canada says our region is in for as much as 30 centimetres of snow and maybe even freeing rain.  It’s expected to begin Wednesday morning with snow and ice pellets. Accumulations up to 30 cm are expected by Thursday morning – that’s a foot!

We could also be hit by freezing rain overnight Wednesday.

Because of uncertainty about amounts of all that, Environment Canada says a snowfall warning or winter storm warning might be issued as the system approaches.
