A water main break affecting all of Porcupine has the area under a boil water advisory.
The health unit says everyone in that community – including homes behind the Porcupine Mall – should bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for cooking or drinking.
It’s in effect until the break is repaired and water testing shows that it’s safe to use without boiling.
