The end is nigh for Rolly the formerly 45-foot-high snowman on Carrigan Road, east of Timmins.
Builder Michel Campeau tells us he had to fix Rolly up and put his hat, eyes and buttons back in place, and now at 40 feet, he’s not going to last.
Campeau says 2,900 people have already had photo ops with the big guy, donated $3,900 cash and more than a ton of food for food banks in Timmins, South Porcupine, Matheson and Iroquois Falls.
If you head out that way the next couple days, be warned the road isn’t in the best shape. And Campeau says don’t park too close to the snowbank, or you’ll end up in the ditch. It’s already happened at least once.
