Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the Ring of Fire will never become a reality under the Wynne Liberals because Premier Kathleen Wynne is catering to environmentalists.
Last fall the Tories asked Wynne how she’ll ignite the Ring of Fire.
Fedeli says Wynne’s response was puzzling at the time because her geography is all wrong. He quoted her saying “it’s a place I visited in the far North this past Summer. I canoed on the Attawapiskat River and I can tell you we really need to protect our watershed.”
Since then the Ring of Fire faces constant delays and Fedeli believes the delays are intentional because the Premier is listening to environmentalists who oppose development in the North.
