The Porquis Music Festival is coming back this summer, July 15th and 16th under the dome.
Artistic director Denis Charette has released the line-up that includes a wide variety of musical genres, and a heavy regional presence. Among the acts are Rosewood Ave. from Matheson; Mearl and the Flows from Iroquois Falls; and Cochrane’s Mitch Jean.
“On Saturday, July 16th, we changed it a bit,” Charette points out. “We normally had just four groups that played, and this year we decided to go with six.”
So between 1:40pm and midnight, it’ll be non-stop music.
The biggest name on the list will wrap it up.
“We’ve got Taw Connors,” Charette proudly states. “We’ve had him here before. He can’t wait to come back to Iroquois Falls.”
That is, of course, Stompin’ Tom’s son.
