This week’s hospitalization report from Timmins and District Hospital indicates that as of today, there are 31 patients with COVID-19. Five had the condition when they were admitted. Forty-eight patients have either been tested and are waiting for results, or will be tested.
The six-bed intensive care unit (ICU) is fully occupied. The hospital says under its surge strategy, it can expand to ten beds if needed.
