News Summit looks at creating jobs in the forestry sector SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Monday, Jul. 6th, 2015 Kenora is the site this week for a national summit on forestry. FedNor and Natural Resources Minister Greg Rickford is organizing what’s billed as the National Forest Innovation Summit. The event will see representation from the forestry sector, scientists, Aboriginal communities and provincial forestry ministers. The summit will examine challenges the sector faces and how to turn those obstacles into job opportunities, and how to turn new products and technologies into forestry-related jobs. The two day session begins on Wednesday, July 8th.
