Rock no longer faces crowd limits at its home games at the McIntyre Arena

Here’s something for the Timmins Rock and the Junior-A hockey team’s fans to be thankful for this Thanksgiving weekend.

Late Friday, the provincial government lifted capacity limits on live sporting events.

Rock board member Jason Kelly says that means the team no longer has to cut off ticket sales at about 700 for the McIntyre Arena.

Fountain Tire might not be so thankful.  The business is running a promotion for Sunday’s NOJHL game against French River, offering tickets for five dollars a pop.

That game starts at 3:00pm.
