Ticket sales for Rock on the River: Reconnect a week from this coming Friday and Saturday nights are brisk. In fact, Timmins Festivals and Events Committee vice-chair Jeremy Wilson calls them “phenomenal”.
“This is going to be our biggest and best year,” he tells My Timmins Now Dot Com. “We can already tell.”
For the first time ever, Rock on the River is at Hollinger Park. Capacity is 5,000 people.
“VIP is completely sold out. GA’s (general admission) still available, but don’t wait,” Wilson advises.
It will be at Hollinger Park for the first, and Wilson says it will have a “Northern Ontario feel”:
“We’re working on having warming stations with an enclosed fire pit area. VIP has some exclusive things to just have that Northern feel.”
Wilson adds that “Reconnect” in the name signifies bring people together after a year-and-a-half of no live concerts.
