Moose 93.1 scoops up a Nova Award

The staff at Timmins’ Classic Hits, Moose 93.1 will be smiling antler-to-antler all day on Friday.  Thursday night, the radio station won a Timmins Chamber of Commerce Nova Award for contribution to the community, six to ten employees.

Program director Shane Button says it’s fantastic to be recognized for that.

“We’re not here helping out and doing what we do for awards like this,” he says, reacting to the award. “It’s all about the people, it’s all about the city of Timmins and we couldn’t be happier to be recognized for it, but that’s not what we’re here for.”

This is Moose/Vista Radio’s  second Nova win out of three nominations in four years.

“Two years ago, we won for small business of the year for six to ten employees,” Button outlines, “but it is our second nomination on this category.”

The award we scooped up Thursday night is sponsored by The Venture Centre.
