More fines for violating stay-at-home order levied by Timmins Police

More incidents and more charges by Timmins Police against someone they say was violating provisions of the current stay-at-home order.

Early yesterday (Wed.) afternoon while on a wellness check on Cedar Street North… officers found two men from Toronto and North York in the building.

Under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, they should not have been in Timmins or anywhere but their own homes.

The 17- and 18-year-olds were each issued an 880-dollar ticket.

Prior to that, last Saturday on Gold Mine Road, three more people were fined.

Their vehicle was stopped when an officer recognized the operator as a possible suspended driver.  The fines were dished out because the 21-year-old driver and his two passengers — a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl — don’t all live at the same address.
