A $10, 000 donation is the result of almost three-thousand hours of volunteer work.
The Anson General Hospital Auxiliary runs multiple campaigns to raise money, part of which goes into the Timmins Hospital. Their memorial fund, in-house draws, and gift shop all contribute to the donation.
“The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation is extremely grateful to the Anson General Hospital Auxiliary for their infinite goodwill and countless hours of volunteer work that, not only benefit their local hospital, but also benefit of our District hospital.”
The funds will go into the hospital’s three year campaign, Building for tomorrow’s health care today, to upgrade equipment.The campaign has a fundraising goal of $15 million. $2.6 of that will go into renovating and relocating eight departments, while the other $12.4 will replace equipment.
