UPDATE AT 4:50pm: Device removed by OPP, police have left the scene.
A suspected homemade explosive device caused Timmins Police to shut down part of the Sheridan Trailer Park off Pine Street South this afternoon.
It was discovered while officers were executing a search warrant on another matter at a home on Tony Avenue.
They have closed access to Tony and Jay Avenues, waiting for an OPP explosive disposal unit to remove the device.
