Three in the morning, six in the afternoon: New COVID-19 cases reported by PHU

Tuesday ended up being a nine-case day for COVID-19 in the area served by the Porcupine Health Unit.

In the morning, it reported three cases.  One was part of the institutional outbreak in Kapuskasing, obviously at Extendicare.  Two were in the Hearst-Hornepayne area, both blamed on contact with other cases.  The only active cases in that area are at the Constance Lake First Nation.

Six more cases were reported late in the afternoon, driving the total so far to 233.

One of them is in Timmins.  The cause is being investigated.  Another is in the Hearst-Hornepayne area, also under investigation.  And the other four are part of the institutional outbreak in Kapuskasing.
