News Chalk up a win for veteran’s rights SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Thursday, May. 14th, 2015 Charlie Angus says the NDP scored a win for veteran’s rights. The Conservatives have been in a legal battle, claiming they don’t have a moral obligation to returning veterans. The main sticking point is health benefits and pensions. The NDP brought up the issue in the House of Commons this week. Angus said it resulted in support of the veterans, agreeing the feds have a moral, legal, and social obligation. He says the Tories will have to change their approach to honour that commitment.
