Sixty-three per cent of Friday’s cases are in the hot spots around the GTHA and in Windsor-Essex. Nearly 63,100 tests were completed over the last day, a record number, and there are 1,753 more resolved cases. Another 45 people have died from the virus in Ontario bringing the provincial death toll to 3,916. Friday’s fatalities mark the highest one-day increase in deaths in the second wave of the virus.
